Catalog 3.0 currently asks for 500 K of memory to run in. This should be plenty for the average 80 MB to 120 MB Hard Disk. The amount of memory required is related to the number of files on the volume, as well as the length of the files' names. (Hey, all that information has to be STORED somewhere, right? ). If you get an out of memory error, (-108) or if you are catologing a volume that has more than 2500 files and/or folders on it, you may need to increase the memory that Catalog 3.0 asks the System for. You can do this by selecting Catalog 3.0 in the Finder, and then choosing Get Info... from the File Menu. Then, just change the "500" in the lower right corner of the Get Info Window to "1000" (just to be safe!) Close the Get Info Window and re-run Catalog 3.0.
